I was taking sections of video to put together (previously with dvdshrink) in TDA and I browsed to the location of one of the files but TDA did not have a video/audio file shown to work with. I then opened to dvdshrink to look at it and it did the same thing. Went to folder and under "Reauther" it shows no titles. I thought maybe the ifo file was bad so I tried using ifoedit to create new ones. I did this and they show the same file size as the originals and still nothing shows in the folder. I also tried looking in DVDdecrypter with the same results. I can play the file in powerdvd though, and I also double clicked on the individual vobs in explorer and they play. I don't really know if this checks anything but i wanted to see if it would say anything about the second smaller vob file alone.
Any ideas?

Add file -> Files of type: Show all. By default, I think it only will show/import .MPV/.MP2/.AC3/.M2V/etc, you need to set show all to import .VOB files. It's not surprising, since DVDA is meant as the authoring tool, ie: it takes the elementary and program streams and builds the actual VOBs.

Thanks but when I try to bring in a vob file it says it needs to be either mpeg1 or mpeg2.

TDA only imports VOBs (track by track) by reading VIDEO_TS.IFO file (you have to either drag it to the middle of SET SOURCE window or browse for DVD folder in DVD source mode) and doesn't accept VOBs in file import mode. If you don't have proper ifo's, try to restream/join VOBs in VideoReDo, it will output an mpeg v/a file, then use file import mode of TDA. You don't have to demux, TDA always does it at outputting a project.
