All right, so I bought what seems like a pallet of purple dye Riteks a few years ago, largely based on information I gleaned right here, from video help. I am about to run out and have found that the landscape has changed.
Purple dye disks are nowhere to be seen and Taiyo Yuden seem to be the new favored disk. It even appears that the Taiyos are silver and not green, purple or whatever.
Anyone have any thoughts on what has happened to DVD dye technology over the past couple of years? Are there new dyes that are better or just as good?
And it sounds like some of the private label makers are now labeling their disks with big brand id stamps, making it harder to know who made the disks.
Thanks for any thoughts, ideas, etc!
Oh, and Videohelp kicks patootie!
