    1) Before you tell me to get lost, I've read the guides, I've read the posts, as basic as it is, I hear sound on capture, but no sound on playback. I've checked all my settings, can't figure it out. Capture is done on vdub via Ati 7200 64 mb ddr VIVO. When using the Ati soft, there's no probs though. This is happening to me also on ulead pro 6.0. Does this have something to do with wdm drivers? Any links on wdm vs. vfw? It would clear up a lot of misconceptions.

    2) I'm capturing 10 min. clips of homevideo to Huffy. That being said, after I set format to custom size, to 680x420 YUY2, I'm thrown back to a mere 80x60 in the stream setting. Is this because my video card can't handle any higher setting? What's the fix?

3)Besides NTFS being better, can I expect troubles with drivers if I run
    on Win 2000 pro.

Am I stuck with Ati software. Virtualdub seems to be so good.

    system: Pent 3, 1ghz
    30 gig 7200 w.d. hard drive
    asus cusl-2c mboard
    192 mb ram
Win 98 s.e. (dual boot to Win 2$$$)

  3. It is a driver issue. VirtualDub can only use particular drivers, not the type your card uses (wdm or is it vfw). I believe I have read some other forum messages on this issue. Try search the forums. sorry I could not be more specific help.
