I have the latest version of ffmpegX and the binaries currently listed on the home page. I have two different problems:

    1. Each time I run the program it complains the bottom two binaries in the list are not installed so I locate them and install them again. I don't move them so they are always in the same place and I've checked in the Application Support library and there seem to be appropriate files there (mplayer and mencoder, mpeg2end, etc.). Once I go through this dance the program opens but I have to do it each friggin' time, which doesn't seem right.

The big problem: following the instructions on the home site for creating a DVD from an object such as a VOB, I load a MTR-extracted VOB (entire feature) into ffmpegx, select "DVD ffmpeg" as the method for encoding, then click on ENCODE. Supposedly, I'm to end up with a TS folder but all I can find is a file with the same name as my original VOB plus the extensions ff.mpg - no TS folder. The encoding takes a long time but I kind of expect that as I am using an old G4 with 10.3.9.

I'm going by the instructions provided by the creator - what am I missing here?

    Thanks.

Were you logged in as an admin user when you installed the binaries?
