  1. I'm putting this here because you won't allow me to post anywhere else yet.

Thx for an excelent tutorial! It has done the job for me. I might add one thing, though.
The first time I tried using this method it took ~4-1/2 hrs to run the adding of subtitles to a 700MB Xvid file. I was a bit disappointed with it. But, it did give me a 700MB avi Xvid with embedded subtitles. About 2 hrs into my second conversion, I shut down my ZoneAlarm firewall & AV-SW app. AGK immediately took off. The security app apparently slowed the "analyzing source" portion down to a crawl. This might affect others also.
    Thx again.

  2. I dont believe it! margaret, would you come and look at this ruddy fool.
Now, now victor dont get all worked up.

No .. I think you are wrong.. it probably moved onto the final phase as you shut them down, giving the appearance of unthrottling them

  3. Then, you're trying to tell me that 4-1/2 hrs to embed the subs is to be expected? Because it was on track to do the same on the second go around.
The Analyzing Source phase was at ~75-80% complete and ticking off slowly as it did before. As soon as ZA was shut down, the last 20-25% ticked off in a few minutes, not the 1/2 hr+ it would have.
You can think what you want. I know what I saw. But, it's not important enough to me to go back and try to reproduce it just to prove it.
    Take care.
