If I get an older VCR or TBC with BNC connectors and convert them to RCA or S - Video what do I loose? I am looking at a Panasonic AG- 1970P.
I'm trying to do things right on a tight budget, so I am trying to get older equipment (S-VHS w/ TBC and a TBC w/ Proc Amp built in) any suggestions would also be great.
    Thanks

There is NO quality difference between using BNC connectors and using RCA connectors. The difference has more to do with solidity of the connection (you know you're not going to accidentally unplug with a BNC). Assuming both are made with good materials, they should be comparable, electrically.

IOW, If you have Component BNC (RGB or YUV) and put BNC-to-RCA adapters on them, they'll still be a Component connection with component quality.
