My daughter wants to upload videos to her myspace but it takes an obnoxious amount of time.
So far I have tried MP4 files to upload and that seems to be ok for small files but files that are longer than 2 minutes I have problems uploading to the end. I want to know which file is best for uploading, and which is easiest and fastest. I have a dsl connection 768k. Thank you.

The file size is determined by the bitrate regardless of what format it is, lowering the bitrate creates smaller files but also lowers the quality. Some formats perform better at lower bitrates...
Windows Media Encoder has a few presets, you can make your own as well with any attributes you want. -
So a lower bitrate would make it smaller. Ok well thank you very much and im sure ill return again as i am new at this video stuff still anyways. lol

Also, just an FYI and all that, although your DSl download is most likely 768, your upload is most likely much slower. It is likely more like 768/128 (download/upload).

Right which is why I was wanting to know the best way to make them smaller for uploading. Do you have any suggestions?

These sites seem to display around 200kbps with 320x240 so try that in a wmv
What people don't know about these sites is that they're not interested in your video...rather your ad viewing.
