I have an Archos 504 that I use to scrap content off my DVR. Unfortunately for me, the Archos uses a MS audio codec which causes Qt to crash on my Intel-based Macs. Ideally, I want to convert these videos to H.264 or MP4 so I can import them into iTunes and share them via Front Row or the Apple TV.
So far, the only conversion I can seem to do is to Divx using FFmpegX. Unfortunately, I can't get iTunes to allow me to import files encoded that way. Does anyone have any recommendations for the best settings to use to get my files off the Archos and into iTunes? Is there a particular codec I should be using with FFmpegX?
Thanks
Curt
