    What's up everyone. First post here. Just wondering what would be considered the best miniDV vcr to capture footage for editing.

    As a passthru device or as the playback device? As a playback device, it doesn't really matter as the data is digital. A consumer camcorder will produce the same output from a given tape as a pro editing deck like the Panasonic AG-DV2500.
