  1. I had this on the newbie/general discussion forum with no answer. I'll try if I have some luck in this forum.

I bought an EUJOY MCatch VIDEO/STILL/MP3/VOICERECORDER unit , it records video with sound in ASF format. I am trying to play my own video on the unit. I used X video convertor to convert my mpeg to ASF and load it to the unit. But it will not play. It just gives me many color bars and no sound. X video convertor gives a number of options when converting from mpeg to ASF. I selected the option "Windows media video 8 for color pocket PCs (150 kbps)". This must be wrong because it does not play. But I am not sure what should I pick.
I was wondering if there is a way to find the characteristic of the ASF file produced by the unit.
If I pick the option which produce the video with the same characteristic than it should play , right ?
    Any help ?

I did some more testing today.
I record some video with the unit and check the .asf file it created using AVICodec. It shows
    Video: 4.15 MB, 1451 Kbps, 11.375 fps, 320*240 (4:3), M4S2 = ISO MPEG-4 Video V1, Supported
    Audio : 94 KB, 32 Kbps, 8000 Hz, 1 channels, 0x11 = IMA ADPCM, Supported

I am just thinking that if I can use a tool to convert my own video into the above format, it should play on the unit. Am I right ?
As mentioned above X video converter may not give me the option. Any other tools ?

Just wondering if anyone can locate a copy of the driver disk for one of these M-catch beasties?

I bought mine from the pawnshop but the box and the CDs were missing, so I'm stuffed until I can get a copy.

Googling has produced nothing of any use, so I'm just wondering if anyone can hook me up with the software? Even emailing me the driver files would be better than nothing.
