I have an divx avi with an NTSC FILM framerate, and I want to turn this into a dvd. I understand you have to make a pulldown film or something?
Can anyone offer me an explanation as how to do this with ffmpegx please? I have done a search but have not found a good explanation.

1. Drop your file. 2. Select the DVD mpeg2enc preset. In the Video tab, leave the Framerate at NTSC FILM. If the source file is 16:9, then change Autosize to DVD 16:9. In the Options tab, check the Set 3:2 checkbox. This will take care of the pulldown. Pick a decoder (QuickTime/mplayer/ffmpeg). 3. Encode.

Excellent. I've got it running now. Hopefully the results will be good!
Also, does ffmpegx have the ability to add chapters?
