Dear friends,
I wasnīt able to capture any video on my computer because VDub crashed everytime, and someone here told me to convert my HD to NTFS, so I installed Windows 2000 Professional.
But, my Pinnacle DC10 Plus Capt Card doesnīt work on Win2000.
Is there any driver ? Or should I change my Card. I just bought it !

I thought Pinnacle released (just recently) a new driver for XP (maybe for W2K also).
Check pinnacle's website. -
Yes, dear friend, I did it !
But you must have the Studio 7 software, and I donīt.
I think that just Studio 7 software will recognize DC10 Plus.
But, and what should I do if I use VirtualDub ?
Iīm desperate, īcaus eI just bought this card.
Thanks for the help.
BIG HUG.
:P -
As fars as I know, they don't make the driver for w2k. I've emailed them long time a go and they said that due to lack of demand, they don't think it's worth it for them to develop the w2k driver. Damned Pinnacle !!!
Well, just install win98 as a dual boot in your sysytem,or win XP (If they have a driver for this) -
Sorry to hear that....
You mentioned you just bought this card. I'm hoping you bought it new from a 'friendly' computer store. Maybe you can give it back, and replace it with Pinnacle Studio AV (which, on my understanding, is pretty much the same as DC10+, but uses Studio 7). I don't know about the difference in price though.
Or, you can switch back to a FAT32 OS. The biggest advantage with NTFS is the almost unreachable file size limit. However, Studio ver 1.06 had the 'seamless' capture feature so you won't bump into the 4GB limit.
I didn't really use VDUB that much when I was still using my DC10+, so I can't give any suggestions.
hope this helps. -
Iīll install Win98 again on my computer and try to use AVI_IO to capt.
Then Iīll post a reply here.
Thanx for all. -
The frames dropped increases like crazy after 7Gb of file on AVI_IO.
I donīt know why. ?!?

Hi,
pinnacle has released a beta driver for Win2k & xp.
but it will only work with studio7,pinnacle stated the driver will not work with 3rd party software.
I never had any luck with the dc10+ card and pinnacles tech support is horrible.
I hope this helps -
NTFS is horrible for vid cap
use 98SE or winME
fat32
then your capture will work
miro makes a driver for 2000 but it only works with THEIR capture program so you can forget other programs working with it
