I am looking for a way to get an (Lt/Rt) Dolby Pro Logic II MP3 into a DivX avi file using a Mac.
My hardware Player (OPPO970) doesn't like AC3 in avi containers. So I am stuck with MP3.
I noticed the "5:1" Channels Option in the Audio Parameters. Is this that function?
mAC3dec has a "Dolby Stereo" preference for decoding (Anyone using that? I don't think it works.) but I would like to use ffmpegX instead of the extra muxing.
Is anyone out there downmixing AC3 to "Surround" on a Mac? What tools do you use? What have your experiences been? There is debate whether MP3 is suitable for (Lt/Rt) but I have read that it's fine with a high bitrate and avoiding joint stereo.
Thanks in Advance,
c
