  1. How do you encode for 2:35 aspect ratio? I'm trying to encode my Pirates of the Carribbean Dead Mans Chest DVD to something I can play on my LinkTheater. I'm currently using Intervideo's DVD Copy 5 Platinum encoding straight from the DVD via AnyDVD.. I've been happy with it for kids movies because it is very fast going to an AVI Divx..

However, the only thing I have found that properly encodes POTC Dead Mans Chest is Dr DivX to a .divx file.. Beautiful video with correct aspect ratio (both on computer playback and LinkTheater playback).. However, I ALWAYS have sync problems with Dr. DivX. Some people say to convert the VOBs to a MPG2 file first, but the VOB2MPG utility from SVCD2DVD doesn't work (0K file).

I tried AutoGK, but the apsect ratio was wrong AND the audio was shifted..!

Clearly, the holy-grail of one-click solutions doesn't exist. How does everybody deal with these issues? Either encode beautiful video with DrDivX and re-mux proper audio afterwards, or encode with something else and get proper audio but have to deal with the wrong aspect ratio.. Which is worse/better?
