a. dvd lo -- convert your source file to DVD-Video using the mpeg2enc engine, at half the horizontal resolution, allowing more minutes per disc.
b. dvd mpeg2enc -- convert your source file to DVD-Video using the mpeg2enc engine, good options available.
c. dvd ffmpeg -- convert your source file to DVD-Video using the ffmpeg engine, quite fast, no built-in 3:2 pulldown available tho'.
d. mpeg-ts -- creates a transport stream file using the ffmpeg engine. Not very suitable for DVD.
e. KDVD -- convert your source file to DVD-Video using the mpeg2enc engine, with low bitrate optimized KVCD parameters, allowing more minutes per disc.

What does ffmpegX say about the source format in the Video and Audio section?Originally Posted by wnbasac
Click the "i" in the blue circle in the ffmpegX Progress window to access the Log. This should contain an error message describing what went wrong. With any luck, the error can be fixed by altering some setting, depending on the error.Originally Posted by wnbasac
Toast uses QuickTime to decode your source file. If your source file has unrecognized audio, then your output will be without audio. Most likely this is due to AC3 audio; try installing the QuickTime AC3 codec to overcome that.Originally Posted by wnbasac
