Does any one know of a good place/person to get a modified Tivo from.???? I am looking for a series 2, with at least 80G HD.

I bought my TIVO 2 from BB for $69, after rebates. Works fine although I am not a big fan of the way they set up recording of my cables digital channels. Other than that seems to work just fine.

Thanks for the info. Yes I have looked at Weaknees, they have some good stuff. Seems like a lot of people on these forums buy a lot of their stuff, I will research more, thanks.

Ed on the BB thing I am not familiar with who that is, can you please fill me in.

B B stands for BEST BUY. They are a national electronic chain store. They do have their supporters and non-supporters. My experience with BB has been favorable, however, I do go in armed with knowledge and recognize when I am being sold to as oppoosed to making the purchase that I want to. So........ take it with a grain of salt. I went in to purchase a TIVO 2 on sale for $69. Of course, I had to pay more initially but I get it back with the rebates. I have not yet had a bad exeperience with the BB rebate program. However, there are a number of folks here who have plenty of war stories to fill up your time with. Again, not an absolute recommendation just a data point for you to use.

It also depends on what kind of "modifications" you are trying to find. http://weaknees.com/ as listed above have all of the standard upgrades / changes. Many you can perform yourself.
