  1. Ok here it is, increasingly over the last few months I have been getting downloads that I have not been able to play on media player, real one and divx playr. I have deleated them thinking they were bad files. However it has reached a point where almost everything I download now will not play on any of my 4 players. I have even tried to load them into Tempg. and Vitual Dub they also tells me it is not supported. All my players are updated, and they all work. Real player normally will tell you what codec you need but it hasn't been and media player will will try to find the codec but it hasn't. I just have reached the end of ideals. Any suggestions?

  3. First thing is i would get divx 5.0.1 codec if you don't have it, and you could also try to use divxfix on them.

    you can download divx 5.0.1 @ http://download.com.com/3000-2194-9675928.html?tag=lst-0-1

and you can download divxfix @ http://www.divx-digest.com/software/divfix.html
I went to look for myself, if I get back before I return, Keep me here.

  7. Find the MPEG-4 V3 codec. It seems to make up alot of the movies I download. I too thought they were divx. But when I reinstalled my OS, I just reinstalled the divx 5 codec and found myself unable to play the movies at all, no decompressor found. I found out the movies were MPEG-4 V3 codec files, not divx. So try that out to, find the Krystal Codec Pack, that how I got mine, anf there are lots of other packs out there. Just look for MPEG4 codecs. Your movies are wither divx or mpeg4 files.
