    Recently bought a DVD which is Region 0 and NTSC. When i got around the playing the DVD on my portable player it was in colour, but when linked to the TV it was black and white!

    Does anyone know why this is?

    I used to have the same problem. It turned out that my old television would only display ntsc in black & white. Try plugging into a different TV.

    You can also look at the settings for your player to see if it can output NTSC as PAL60. This might solve your colour problem.
