I'm a bit of a video newbie. I have to make a presentation on a cinema related topic. Within the presentation I want to show clips of films. I'd like some advice on how I could go about converting dvd movies (from my personal collection) then selecting scenes or clips from the dvd movie and converting these into a format which could be embedded or imported into a presentation tool such as MS PowerPoint. Thanks in advance for any info.

DVD Shrink should let you pull out just one section if I remember it right... Then you can convert it to AVI or whatever that goes into PowerPoint.
