    Playback of ripped/backed up DVD9 stops at the very beginning,
    not even showing ROOT menu or something.
    But if after that I press Play button it starts to play from the first chapter.
    After that I even can return to the ROOT menu.
    The rip sequense was
    1. DVDFab Platinum 3.0.1.0 DVD9 -> hard disk.
    2. run FreeDVD to remove "Uops".
    3. burn using Nero with DVDIdle Pro (5.9.8.3) activated.
    Nero was used to burn just part (~3Gb) of the big 7.9Gb VIDEO_TS folder.
    ...
    BTW. The title I'm fighting with is The Brick.

    Ok, problem is resolved, - layer switch again
    The right set of tools is
    1. AnyDVD (6.0.70) DVD9 -> VIDEO_TS
    2. ImgBurn2 VIDEO_TS -> ISO+set layer switch
    3. ImgBurn2 ISO -> DVD9+R
