  1. Hi there,

I'm seem to have an odd issue playing the AVCHD structure from an external harddrive (2 TB). The video is approximately an hour and half long and so it is split into 3 chunks to accommodate FAT32 and this is done automatically when choosing the PS3 output in multiAVCHD, profile is of course is 4.1. After it's complete I copied the film onto root of my external and the folder renamed to AVCHD. The film plays perfectly with chapters, multiple streams etc. but then suddenly at random, the picture will freeze, the green light on PS3 blinks erratically and I'm taken back to PS3's menu dock. After I try playing the film again it will start from the beginning and I can chapter right before the freezing point and it will continue correctly for the duration. This random stop only happens once but always at a different spot usually around 30-40 min in. Has anyone else experienced this problem and can offer possible solutions? The PS3 is updated to its latest firmware.

I also tried taking the m2ts file and splitting it just using the Tsmuxer with the AVCHD disk checked. Unlike the multiAVCHD method this yields the additional CERTIFICATE folder. Again, I copy those into a AVCHD folder that is in root of the drive and I use the AVCHDme to make it 8.3 playback compliant. But unfortunately the same problem will occur, with the video freezing at a random point and I'm kicked out into PS3 menu dock.

Question, is special treatment required when multiple videos are on the same drive? Thus far I've been simply renaming folders depending on what I'm gonna watch. The video I'm about to watch I will rename into AVCHD and then back to its title once I'm done. Then rename the next one to AVCHD and so on etc. Is this a correct way of doing it?

I would really appreciate some of your thoughts with this issue, it's starting to become a bit frustrating.

    Thanks,
    Tom
