I have a couple of quick questions, hopefully someone can help.

1. Where can I find a discription of the file layout for SVCD Disks? I am trying to understand the files that were generated by Nero.

2. The MPEG-2 files that I created for the SVCD are viewable with WMP prior to burning them, however, after the files were burned to the CD-R using Nero they appear under the MPEG2\ directory and are no longer viewable with WMP. They are viewable with WinDVD, however. Can someone please explain how the files are altered for the CD and is there any way to convert them back?

3. Lastly, I am looking for the best way to archive family video so that I can access it easier than from HI8 tape in the future. I am concerned about standards and I want to find a medium that will be accessible in the 10+yrs out. From the information that I have gleamed so far it appears that storing them in DIVx (MPEG-4) format will provide me with the best quality for the storage space. Considering that I can only burn CDR's at this time, is this my best bet? Can I convert the DIVx to AVI in the future so that I can re-edit the video and maybe take advantage of better compression technics that are developed in the future?

Thanks in Advance
