I know that it's possible to edit your footage in Vegas and do a live preview onto a TV, now is all i need is a video card with a TV output (for ex. s-video)?, thanks

Are you working with DV video? If you are and you also have a dv camcorder that will allow pass-thru, then hookup your dv camcorder to your computer via firewire. You will be able to send the video through your cam and from the cam to your tv (only if your cam has that feature). The analog-to-dv devices also work -- such as Canopus ADVC110 or 300, or the ADS Tech Pyro A/V Link, etc...

I don't think my DV Cam has pass through, but i have to check
either way, wouldn't it be easier to keep a PC to TV set up?
I always need to take my DV out to film and capture the tapes anyway, rather not unplug wires each time.
