  1. Hi, since a few days, I got some very annoying noise on video broadcasting.

I have an analog satellite receiver and I checked the cable connections and the seems to be ok.

noise is kind of "flies" moving on the TV screen.

They are quite visible on this screen:

    I've posted a 10 sec video sample (6 MB) in m2v format:

Do you know what may cause this ugly noise ???

    Thanks

  2. It does look like a satellite signal problem to me, Have you tried uninstalling the capture card drivers, Removing the card and try another pci slot.

  3. It is not a computer card. It's a standalone satellite receiver connected to my standalone dvd recorder.

Try spliting the sat input signal .

Interface between unit's via vcr .

Sat cable to normal input on vcr (ariel input) .
From vcr to dvd recorder via rca cable's only .

Some of this noise is more commonly associated with the combined signal input ... splitting them into seperate video / audio input's to recorder will give far better result's .

  5. Looks like signal degredation to me. If it is it can be two things, either the dish has moved slightly off alignment or the LNB needs replacing. Probably the LNB as those things are out in all weathers and eventually they degrade and die.

Replacing them is a doddle (even for us women, I've done it) provided you can get an exact replacement.

You should buy a 2.1 meters antenna in order to have a better reception quality in analog systems or try to cap the signal from a digital device. We have the same problem here.
