    how long does it take on the avg to convert divx to mpeg2?????

    but it all depentd on you CPU, HD speed, and method used for encoding (CQ_VBR, VBR, CBR, 2PASS VBR).
    It took me about 20 hours to encode 85 minutes from DVD (The difference between the different sources don't differ that much.) to SVCD MPEG2 at normal VBR on a 733Mhz PIII with 384Mb ram. But 2-Pass VBR takes a lot longer (about twice as long).
