  1. Hiya fellas. I've had an epson R300 for about a year now. I havent used it for a while but today I went to print onto a dvd. I loaded the tray like I usually do, but it was failing to slide in when I was pressing print. I had to push the tray in myself but then it spat it back out after a couple of seconds. I've tried over and over to get the thing to slide in but it wont, and when i push it in myself it refuses to print! Any ideas fellas?

Prior to starting the print operation, if you push the tray in about 1/4" beyond the aligment arrow on the tray guide, this will happen MUCH less often. I am referring to the aligment mark on the right side of the tray that you are supposed to align with a mark on the tray carrier. If you align the marks up even with each other, it is much more likely to spit the tray out.

After using mine dozens of times, I now have to insert it slightly farther than the arrows, and/or give it a gentle push when the printer starts to pull it in, and that has worked fine. Not sure if it's the tray or the rollers, but that has solved the problem for me to where I can use it.

I'ev had exactly the same results as SCDVD & Harley with my 200. Seems the rollers that pull the slide in get a little "smoothed" up and don't grab it as well. Try setting it a little past the arrows, mine won't work at all unless I do that. Very happy with the printed result though.
