If I scan a 4x6 inch picture to be placed in a DVD, is it pointless to scan at a higher resolution than 120 ppi? A 4x6 picture at that resolution is 720x480 ppi. If I scan at 300 ppi the picture is 1800x1200. If I use this photo, will the authoring program decrease it to DVD resolution (720x480)?
