I have my system set up like this...
CABLE -----> VCR ---(rca)--->PC TV Card (video and audio in)
I have a Duron 800 with VooDooTV100 card.
My problem is this. When I turn off the vcr I can not get any video signal to come through the rca jacks.
When I have the vcr on and use it as my turner, I get the cable stations on my cards composite setting, but the quality is horrible. It is so bad that I can't get my capture program (vdub) to capture above 15 fps without 50% frame drop.
But when I put in a tape and try to capture from tape, it works fine (except that tape quality is not quite as good as I think direct should be).
Now I do have an old vcr, but could that cause such a big problem with pass through quality?? Anyone else have this problem??
Thanks for any help.
