    Hi everybody

I have a problem with some clips and i wonder if you can help me. I did some editing in Final Cut Pro and i exported some movie clips but the quality is not good. I want to import these movie clips in Premiere Pro but sometimes i can't because of the compression. I prefer to export these files as quicktime files but i want to be sure that i can open them in Premiere and that they're going to be high quality clips. What kind of compression do i have to use in the rendering?

    Thanks

when u exported from FCP what was the format?

Premiere prefers DV AVI (PAL or NTSC) format as it will take it realtime with no rendering. Anything else u drop on it will need to render. QT .mov files will be accepted generally speaking in PPro, but u will have to render.

Bottom line: export dv avi from fcp, and import them to ppro.

quicktime animation or quicktime targa or quicktime blackmagic (requires codec install on both machines) , or quicktime uncompressed

only problem with that is - is that QT DV is really bad and you will lose a lot of quality ....

it would still be using the qt codec and FCP is not so good exporting an avi type 2 anyway ....
