This guy really should have been more careful, he could have hurt someone .
It's somewhat funny, but not really in a way.
Any gun experts know what type of gun this is?

Well I won't say I'm expert but hurting someone else unless the gun physically hit them would probably be impossible, most handguns of an obviously large caliber like that are single shot. If not it's a revolver which requires quite a bit of force to refire since the trigger has to be pulled to **** the hammer and rotate the chamber. Only automatic gun that even comes close to that size is desert eagle 50 caliber and that has a relatively light kick due to it's design. That one in the video most likely uses a rifle cartridge and for the most part is for target practice or for hunting large game or making fools of friends.... personally I'd never let anyone shoot that gun unless they were were qualified simply for the reason they cost so damn much. Gun like that can be in the $2000 plus range.

Looks like it could be a Thompson Contender? You can get that model in a variety of wildcat rounds.
FB-DIMM are the real cause of global warming -
Looks to be about a .45-70 handgun. Basically, it's a handgun that shoots a rifle round.

It looks like a S&W Magnum 500(.50cal):
