I have used 10 discs from a new tub, i have not had one succcessful burn yet,
the 10 discs have stopped burning in the same place, about 8mm

It also takes a good few attempts to start writing, some cases 1 minute.

I have tried differant burning software, nothing works, i have tried a
few other media makes, no problems.

    Be grateful for any info.

Perhaps your burner doesn't support this media? I can't tell because your profile would suggest you do not have a burner.

The problem is that the commode slime they use for the dye layer is a bit too lumpy. Others are unhappy too.

Ah, the infamous UK CMC dyes. Some of those UK dyes may even be fake CMC, there are a lot of "unknown" brands that use them, and sell them for just a few pence above free.

I would generally call these "landfill material" but "commode slime" is equally as appropriate. Very nice, SCDVD!

ROF, that link shows scans of the media that look like absolute crap, and it can be repeated in enough burners. As would be expected, NEC does alright on it, but even then it was not a very impressive performance.

Avoid CMC media, I cannot say it enough.
