    These tapes have always been hard to find in New Zealand; perhaps members can suggest sources in other countries? Australia is probably best for freight, but I'll check out any suggestions.

    I did a beginners video course at Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) and I believe they used S-VHS tapes in their analog cameras. Maybe get in touch with a similar institute in NZ to see where they get theirs from? They might even buy on your behalf...

    Thanks Daamon. SVHS tapes ARE available in NZ but because it's a small market, they're very expensive. Someone in the chain is obviously creaming it :--))

    Probably the big education institutes who bulk buy cheaply and then sell on at a premium to make up for their cr@ppy budgets...
