i need to backup some dvds and I was asking around and someone told me that Popcorn can do it.
but i was under the impression that popcorn cannot backup copywriten dvds.
is this true? if so how should i go about doing so?

That is true. A commercial DVD must be ripped first with MTR or other application that will strip the copy protection from the VIDEO_TS folder.Originally Posted by ehmjay
