    I think the videos encoded from Vegas turn out Crisp & Clear, how would the TMPGenc be better than the Vegas default mpg2 encoder?

    I prefer Vegas (MainConcept) over TmpgEnc also. Render times are shorter and with 2 pass encoding, Vegas quality is very good.
    I also use Procorder 2.04 for some jobs for transcoding Xvid/Divx to DVD mpeg. Quality is not as good but the render times make it passable.
