DVD to DVDR with DVD2SVCD = 7.5GB??

I'm using DVD2SVCD in DVD to DVD mode but the end results always end up being ~7.5GB even though I select a CD size of 4464. I'm using CCE.

any one know why?

I assume you mean DVD size?

Why not try something like dvdshrink which is quite straightforward in getting a single layer output from a dual layer disc? And if its a newer dvd it can't rip simply rip in iso form with dvdfabdecrypter and open the iso in dvdshrink.
