I'm not sure what you mean by 'emulator'?

Do you mean mounting a ISO/image file as a DVD on your hard drive? Try Daemon Tools.

Or playing back a DVD on the computer with a software player that emulates a standalone DVD player? In that case, try Power DVD.

Over to the right ... choose cd/dvd

Here you will find 3 freeware emulator's ... might I recommend the one with the sheep logo .

The good thing about the sheep one is the new drive has the logo , making it simple for newbies to know which drive is which .

I use it all the time to check authored dvd iso's before final burning , and my auto install cd's for people ... damn handy little tool .

Of course microsoft released one themselve's ... cant recall the link to it , but it's not as user freindly , and a right pain when removing it cause you also have to go into the control panel and remove the "hardware" associated driver , restart the pc ..

Reinstalling it is a breeze ... I built a simple installer / uninstaller for it to save time .
