    Which one do you guys like best? Is there any benifite to the XL2 having 24fps setting?

    I would go with the Canon. Although look out for the JVC Hi-Def unit with interchangable lenses. An excellent unit currently selling in the UK for £3800 (not sure what that would be stateside).
