I know the camera is ok, cause I used to work with it in London when a different PC but with adove premiere 6.0 iIt has to be that the camera is pal and I´m working in a NTSC enviroment in america??? sorry for my ignorance but I´m quite new in editing... thanks for any answer!!!!

Makes no difference on a computer, it's irrelevant. It will make a difference if you try and hook it up to a NTSC TV or try to make a DVD for playback on a NTSC DVD Player that doesn't support PAL but as far as the computer goes that means nothing.

In General the USB is for low quality web type video and/or transferring still pictures if your cam has that ability. It doesn't stream the full quality DV video that comes over 1394.

You might want to look on Sony's site if ther are some drivers required, should just be plug and play though.

Does it show up in My Computer?

might also search based on your camera & firewire card or chip for others who've had the same prob. & fixed it.

I hate to ask but are you sure you have it in VCR mode and whatever other settings you need in the menu?

Maybe somethingmhappened to the cam between the time it worked and now... try it on a different computer.
