Ok I can use Virtual Dub to open it and LogoAway to cover it up, but it only comes on 1-2 times during the file. So I am wondering if I could somehow remove it easily or just blur it for the 5-10 secs it plays instead of the whole time the file plays. Just for your info it is in music videos and not movies.

Use the DeLogo filter instead. It allows you to select a frame range or ranges.

I thought that the Delogo said it didn't work with .mpg?

You can use it on any file that VDub will open. The success of the alpha removal is extremely poor when the source is a mpg, but you can still use it for the blurring type of repair for the affected sections.
