So whats the solution to see the whole pick by encoding differently. I can't afford to buy all new televisions.

I'm not sure i get the math here.

I'm assuming that my tv is 4/3 ratio of horizontal/vertical. So if its 10% overscanning of the tv thats causing the problem. Then to correct for this the largest size for either horizontal or vertical should be 480-(480*10%)=432.

So then i would just need to figure out what the shorter of the two: if H/V=4/3

432*3/4= V if the horizontal is higher
432*4/3= H if the vertical is higher

If i got the math right. Then i could make a 480x480 SVCD from a 512x384 divx by going under the advanced tab, set the Video Arrange Method to Center(custom size)and set it to 432x324.
Is this correct or will it distort the picture when i stretches it out to fill my tv screen?
