How and what did you use to convert to DVD? Make it the proper size in the first place for best quality.Originally Posted by atsfan"Art is making something out of nothing and selling it." - Frank Zappa

Why not a dual layer DVD-9?

I've recorded a lot of football games and converted them to DVDs, and I would think that DVD Shrink could get the files a bit closer to single-layer size than 6 gigs, starting with an 8.14 gig source file...
You'd probably have to re-Shrink the file, though."The avalanche has already started; it is too late for the pebbles to vote." -
If you still have the original recording, re-encode to lower bitrate?

DL is your best bet..you are trying to cram 4 hours on a single dvd. if you shrink it to half size you are going to see some nasties.
