I have been making backups of my dvd's successfully for months using DVD Decrypter. Last week I go out and buy the Brothers Grimm and try to use DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink my usual process to make my backup and after what appears to be a successful decrypter rip I goto load the file into DVD Shrink and it tells me theres and error in vst_01. I try the process of decrypting and shrinking a few more times I get the same results. So I then say well I will just burn it in nero as a dvd. Burn completes without error but backup is not playable.
So the question is what other rippers and/or decrypters can I use to make backups of movies like this. I only backup my movies because my kids ar hell on DVDs. Any and all suggestion welcome accept for "buy another DVD instead of making a backup".
Thanks.

This is how you do it:
DVDFab Decrypter if you want to rip your movies to your hard drive first.
AnyDVD if you want to work with your movie disk in your dvd drive.
Then use DVD Rebuilder to back up the movie to dvd. In the DVD-RB setup, tell it to use the HC encoder, at the best quality setting. Then burn the resulting AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS directories to your disk with Nero, or anything else you are comfortable with.
It will take 3 to 5 hours to do, depending on your hardware, but the result can't be beat by anything."I'm sick of paying for dinner and being served cowshit, while they give the bums eating out of the garbage my meal."
