Hello:
Can anyone tell me if you can use TMPGEnc to convert "lossless" AVI captures to SVCD without upgrading to the commercial (not free) version?
I've been experimenting with the free version but the 30-day trial has run out. Is it possible I was using a feature that I don't need for this type of conversion, or is there a premium for SVCD conversion?
Basically, I'm trying to capture with my ATI All-in-Wonder, convert to SVCD, then burn to CD's I can play back on my DVD (sounds simple enough, right?).
Thanks in advance,
Drak

if you're converting to mpeg2 with TMPG, the trial is 30 days.
of course, there are ways around that, but... -
Yes, I should have said I'm trying to convert to MPEG2 and then to SVCD. Seems like I read somewhere that ULead Video Studio can do the conversion, if so I'll try that (it came with the capture card).
Its not that I'm cheap (even though I am) its just that I'm not sure I need TMPGEnc to do what I'm trying to do.
