I quite like how they feel the need to include the text "Includes remote control." - it better! wtf would you do with it if it didn't?

i've seen some "City" brand (its a brand better known in Asia) standalone full-size player *without* remote
It didnt have IR window nor any display where it could hide, thus im 100% sure it wasnt any manufacturing reject simply missing a remote - it was designed like this -
Cheap players tend to use Sunplus chipsets and you really do get what you pay for.
