    I am running 10.4.3 and ffmpegx 0.9u. I chose Xvid mencoder preset. the error i get is cannot execute binary file.

    I reinstalled the binaries but no change. the owner of 'mencoder' is root. is this ok?

    mencoder and mplayer had root as owner and admin as group upon installation. After changing owner and group same as me I had to manually copy both files after extracting from zip.

    it works now.
