    I need to make it region free!

    Are there any buttons to hold to do so?

    do you have any good chooices for me.

    Are there any "easy" dvd players out there which can be opened up with just a simple "button pressing"

  4. I have the Philips DVP642 (DVP630 in europe), and that is easily unlocked by pushing 5 buttons on the remote control.

    1. Open loading tray
    2. Press on the remote: 7, 8, 9, ok, 0


    Generally speaking, Philips is user friendly in regards to changing the region code. I think LG is okay too.

    There is a section in the menu to the left called "DVD Hacks". You should check there to see if there is a solution to changing the region setting before you buy your next dvd player.
