I want to add 2 selectable subtitle tracks to a DVD. ffmpegX only lets to choose 1 track when authoring. Any suggestions?

Maybe the authoring tool will accept more subs in command line mode? How to run it in Terminal?

I have a DVD compilant mpeg2 .mpg and 2 text .srt subtitle files.

If I knew how to convert .srt text to DVD picture .sub subtitle without reencoding the whole video, I could do authoring with Sizzle...

(And I do not have money for expensive payware.)

    Thank you

  2. Try to author with one subtitle, interrupt the process when it is starting to create the DVD image, then pick the resulting movie.s.mpg file and try to author it again with the other subtitle.

    Thanks!

Did not interrupt first authoring (missed it). But the mpg.s.mpg file was there so I used it for second authoring.

Resulting video_ts displayed two subtitles on top of each other in one track with VLC and only first sub track (nice-looking) with Apple dvd player.

Maybe interrupting matters but I doubt it as mpg.s.mpg file has significantly older last modified time than video_ts.

  4. I'll check this. Maybe they get muxed in the same track indeed.
