I have a DVD, Region 1-USA, which I would like to copy to a DVD, regionfree or region 2. Any method for that?

Just rip with DVDDecrypter. It will remove the RPC. However, it will not take care of TV system conversion (Region 1 is generally NTSC, whereas Region 2 is PAL).

As above ... but it will still be in ntsc format .. this may or may not be a problem ... many dvd players and tv's sold in europe can handle ntsc signal but some cannot ... simply rip the disk and make a copy and try it on your player/tv if it doesnt play then you will have to convert the video to pal standard (not for the faint hearted) ... look in the guides for ntsc to pal conversions

Thank you. If I have vob-files (in a VIDEO_TS-file) and want to make those files region free; how to do that?

if you ripped them from a dvd with dvddecrypter or dvdfabdecrypter the files should already be region free ... however if not (or just to make sure ) get ifoedit (free software) run ifoedit and click open button ... select the VIDEO_TS.IFO from your VIDEO_TS folder then click the 'region free button in the ifoedit toolbar (its along the bottom)

When I run the DVDs (I have two new disks, bought from England, with the same problem) through DVD Decrypter, the process stops when the file VTS_02_2 is handled. If I try to copy the disk with Nero the process stops and the message comes "VTS_02_02. Data failure, CRC-failure, Cyclic Redunancy check".
If I try to copy the files (in the VIDEO_TS-file on the disks) the process stops when the file VTS_02_02 is treated.
The same things happen with both disks.

The same thing when I copy with DVDFabDecr; the process stops in the middle of the file VTS_02_2.

Latest DVDFab Decrypter? If that still fails, I don't know... Damaged discs?

i doubt these 2 titles will have arcoos protection ... maybe the discs are scratched .... or dirty ... try cleaning the disc and also try cleaning the laser lens of your dvd rom drive .... if they still fail to rip try them on a friends pc or a different dvd rom if you have one ... if you still can't rip them then i would say the disks are damaged and will need to be replaced ... you could also try isobuster ... this software seems to be capable of extracting content from disks when other software has failed
