Hi!
What's the maximum bitrate alowed by the S-VCD standard? I mean Audio+Video=Max BitRate.
Thanks.

SVCD max bitrate is 2 x vcd or 2x cd read speed = 2748 kbit/s

But, DVD2SVCD 1.0.7 (b4), under the "BitRate" tab, says me that the total bitrate is 2756 Kb/s. Why? And then, SVCD specs says that max video bitrate is 2600 Kb/s and the audio track should be encoded at 224 Kb/s. Another question: if the max total bitrate is 2748 Kb/s and i would like to insert an other selectable audio track, must I remove from the total bitrate the audio1 bitrate value (192 kb/s), or the audio 1+2 bitrate value (192+192=384)?
Thanks very much especially to Baldrick, for his reply, and sorry 4 my poor English but i'm an Italian boy!
Thanks again and happy Easter!
Daniele Esposito.
