  1. When ever I try and burn a VCD or any other video Nero always aborts and gives me the same messages:

    Power Calibration Error
    Invalid Writestate
    Could Not Perform End Trak

What do these all mean and how can they be fixed???

The error messages are pretty self explanatory - well almost. More important is how to get rid of them.

Make sure you have only 1 burning software on your PC, as errors seem to mainly due to this cause (A combination of EZ CD Creator and a second one has often been a cause in this forum) .

Secondly make sure the CD-R(W) you are using is not dirty, scratched or faulty (yes, I know what you are thinking - how can I tell if its faulty? - You most likely can't. - Just use another CD-R(W) ).

The end track message often appears when one tries to "overburn" - try to eliminate this by either using a bigger capacity CD-R(W) or make your file smaller.

Reload your burning software - this often can rectify a problem. Sometimes even a good old re-boot will do the trick.

Try also to burn at a lower speed - and whatever you do - don't multi-task!

    In Nero go to

    >>View>>Options>>Expert Features

and uncheck (if checked) the "Enable Overburn disc at once burning"

  5. Smart,

One other thing you might want to check is your temp folder. You may need to empty it if your pagefile is full. I have found this to be another cause of end track creation problems with various burning software.
